South Bay Search was founded in 1988 by Paul Guziak.
Paul has established over 30 years of insurance industry contacts. He has been successful in assembling an outstanding team of Account Executives, Researchers and Recruiters to utilize a very extensive database of contacts to provide the most professional and qualified candidates for the client.
Paul is a native of Wisconsin and remains an avid Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger fan. After attending the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Paul moved to Southern California and shortly after, founded South Bay Search with the commitment to integrity and visibility on behalf of the Insurance Industry. With pride, he has helped grow South Bay Search from a regionalized “boutique” search firm to an organization that is prominent throughout the United States. When not working, Paul spends his time with his wife Barbie and two children Christy and Maddie. He enjoys golf, tennis, skiing and snowboarding.
John is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a B.A. in Business Management/Marketing. John joined South Bay Search in 1999 as an Account Executive to support South Bay Search’s continued growth and was promoted to Vice President in 2005. He is married with two daughters. John loves the outdoors and spending time in Southern Utah while coaching his two daughter’s AYSO Teams.
Robert graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2000 with a BS in Business Administration/Marketing. Following graduation, Robert worked at Pelican Hill Golf Course in Newport Coast to pursue his golf career. After 8 years of competitive amateur and professional golf, Robert met Paul and decided to pursue his professional career as a commercial insurance recruiter. His competitive nature, work ethic and genuine interest in peoples success translated well for a career in recruiting. Robert is currently Senior Vice President, responsible for business development, growth and talent acquisitions in the Northeast territory. Born and raised in Huntington Beach, Robert enjoys golfing, surfing and spending time with his wife, Heather and sons, Owen & Bodhi.
South Bay Search is pleased to announce that Christy Guziak has joined our team. A graduate of the University of Arizona in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Christy worked at Barney & Barney as an Employee Benefits Account Manager prior to leaving the industry to pursue her Masters Degree in Fashion. Christy joins us an Account Executive in Talent Evaluation where her focus initially will be working on business in the Northeast territory of the United States.
Lindsay graduated from California State University, Chico in 2001 and earned her BA in Business Management. Following graduation, Lindsay moved to Southern California and was a Territory Manager for Shaw Industries, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, for over nine years. She managed the Orange County area and has a rich background in the sales field. Lindsay chose to close her sales career after the birth of her children, and spent four years at home enjoying quality time with them. Most recently she joined South Bay Search as her family has a strong recruitment background which has always interested her. She loves traveling, camping, and cooking. She spends her free time enjoying these activities and spending time with her family.
Tanner T was born and raised in Orange County, California. He graduated from Arizona State University in 2016 with a degree in political science. After college he perused a career in digital marketing where he managed a global team from 4 countries. He is an avid sports fan and loves to travel the world. Some of his hobbies include music production, snowboarding, and playing guitar. His favorite sports teams are the Angels and the Lakers. Currently he is working in the Midwest territory focusing on placing premier talent. He is looking forward to a very successful career with South Bay Search.
Monte was raised in a small agricultural town in Central California and attended Fresno State University. He then joined the Military for 3 years. After serving his country, Monte moved to Southern California which is where he now calls home. He opened his first insurance Agency in 2003 with Farmers and shortly thereafter opened his own Insurance office in 2005. As a Broker/Dealer since then has owned offices in Escondido, San Diego, and Murrieta. His knowledge in the insurance industry is a perfect fit here at SBS as he can relate to the many different fields we specialize in. Monte’s biggest passion is his family, his wife Shelley owns and operates a successful commercial insurance agency and his 4 children are all healthy and successful in their own right from managing businesses to playing college football. Monte enjoys golf, spending time with his family, and traveling.
James was born and raised in Orange County. He is currently focusing his time on becoming the best recruiter and human being as possible. He grew up reading and continues to read financial education literature and personal development books that have propelled his career. James joined South Bay Search as a trainee and has quickly elevated to an Account Executive role within the organization, focusing on candidate recruitment and client development in the Southeast & Midwest region of the United States.
Kelli graduated from California State University, Chico with her BA in Business Administration, emphasis in Human Resource Management. Following graduation, Kelli moved to Southern California and was a Talent Manager at a staffing firm for 3 years. Most recently joined South Bay Search as she has a strong recruitment background and is excited to propel her career in the insurance world. As an account Executive, she is focused on candidate recruitment and client development in the Southern CA region. Kelli loves traveling to Lake Tahoe, skiing, art and cooking.
